Features
• Polymorphous plasmacytic, monocytoid and/or centrocytic cells
• Difficult to distinguish from reactive lymph node
• Excess pale to light blue cytoplasm on Diff-Quick
• Slight nuclear membrane irregularity
• Typically positive for Pan-B-cell markers, CD43 (~50%), Bcl-2
• Negative for CD5, CD10, Bcl-6, Cyclin D1
• Typically express CD45 (bright), CD19, CD20; kappa or lambdalight-chain restriction
• Negative for CD5, CD10
• No consistent translocations identified
