-Multinucleation -Molding -Margination
• Nuclei have ground-glass appearance due to intranuclear virions
• Chromatin is pushed to periphery leading to margination
• May have dense intranuclear eosinophilic inclusions with halo
• Often mononucleated cells with features of viral infection
• Suggested reporting as cellular changes consistent with Herpes simplex virus
