Predominantly single cells with variable plasmacytoid appearance. Note nuclear size variation, focal binucleation and cytoplasmic vacuoles. Also note the presence of inflammatory background.
Medium power; DQ stain
Loosely cohesive group of epithelioid cells. Note single cells in the background and presence of punched out vacuoles in most of the cells.
Medium power; Pap stain
Loosely cohesive group with scalloped borders. Note the presence of punched out vacuoles, intracytoplasmic neolumina and intraluminal red blood cells.
High power; Pap stain
Cluster with intercellular windows, intracytoplasmic lumen and intraluminal red blood cells. Note the nuclear pleomorphismm binucleation and prominent nucleolus.
