• Moderate delicate finely granular or vacuolated cytoplasm
• Round to oval nuclei
• Fine dark chromatin
• Inconspicuous nucleoli
• Nuclear grooves (coffee bean) may be seen
• Intranuclear cytoplasmic inclusions may be present
• Fibrillary myxoid stroma (magenta on DQ)
• Chondroblasts in lacunar spaces may be seen (no definitive hyaline cartilage)
• Mitosis rare
• May have vascular structures
